Preservation ActionPreservation Action

Introduction

Preservation Action coordinates a network of community activists, preservation professionals, historians, commercial investors and civic leaders working together to advocate for our architectural heritage. Founded in 1974, Preservation Action is the only national 501 (c) (4) preservation lobby. They take their lead from local activists and represent their interests on Capitol Hill. They are dedicated to:

  • Elevating historic preservation as a national priority through our legislative actions;
  • Monitoring federal agency actions that affect the preservation of the Nation's historic and cultural resources;
  • Participating directly in policy development; and
  • Creating an environment for others to succeed with their preservation initiatives.
