Awards for Excellence in Historic Preservation
In an effort to recognize SHPOffices and
staff for outstanding programs and service, the NCSHPO introduced
the NCSHPO Awards for Excellence in Historic Preservation in 2005.
The 2007 awards were presented
on February 28, 2007 at the
NCSHPO Annual Meeting. And the winners are. . .
- The Maryland Historical Trust
and the Maryland State Highway Administration
in the category of Partnerships
with a Public Entity which
recognizes a partnership between a SHPOffice
and a public entity on behalf of a significant historic resource,
preservation project, or program. Click here

- The Pennsylvania Historical and
Museum Commission for their program Educate
Yourself about Preservation: Preserving Pennsylvania’s
Historic Schools in the category of New
Initiatives which recognizes a SHPOffices’
exemplary role in the creation and successful implementation
of a new statewide project or program benefiting historic preservation
